Leonardo da Vinci
Red Chalk on paper | ca. 1512
attributed to Francesco Melzi
562 years ago today, Leonardo was born in Anchiano, a tiny settlement outside of Vinci, and it was recorded by his grandfather Antonio da Vinci:
"1452. There was born to me a grandson, the son of Ser Piero my son, on the 15th day of April, a Saturday, at the 3rd hour [10.30pm] of the night. He bears the name Lionardo."
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEONARDO!
there is nothing that gives me greater joy in life than ade’s seemingly endless obsession with wearing an obscene amount of large belt buckles on his person
in the ocean washing off your name from my throat
Connor, that’s not very assassin like.
